Research

Research is the primary pillar of PRFT’s work.  PRFT’s research aims to generate evidence which informs PRFT’s pro poor policy advocacy work. PRFT uses participatory methodologies to ensure verifiable and in-depth data is collected and analyzed. The Poverty Reduction Forum Trust generates evidence to influence pro poor policies and sustainable development in Zimbabwe through the rural and urban Basic Needs Basket (BNB) surveys and in-depth thematic studies on poverty. PRFT recognizes both rural and urban poverty as essential components of economic governance that must be given full attention in research, policy analysis, advocacy and campaigns.
